MY NAME IS JANE MACDOUGALL AND I GREW UP IN THE MIDDLE OF PEACHES'N'CREAM COUNTRY ON THE MURRAY RIVER. I CURRENTLY WORK IN A START UP BUT SPENT THE PAST 17 YEARS WORKING AS LOGISTICS MANAGER FOR COCA-COLA AMATIL.
I agreed to be part of this project because it seemed like an interesting and out-of-the-box thing for me to do.
My parents originally wanted to call me Kirsten but didn’t like the idea of it being shortened to Kirsty, so went they went with Jane. My two great grandmothers were called Eliza Jane and Alice Jane.
I like my name although I did grow up thinking Jane was boring. Now it looks like we are becoming unique!
The worst think about being a Jane is that people still think the "me Tarzan" line is funny!
I know six other Janes.
I'm not plain Jane ... I'm miss Jane!
