I live in Merricks Beach, Victoria with my family. I love being near the sea. I grew up on a farm with my grandparents. I had a horse called Frisco Pete and a cat called Smokey. I have been doing illustration work for over 14 years now. I studied fine art at the Victorian College of Arts.

I used to go to food and wine festivals and ask if I could do drawings for wine labels. I was very shy, so it was exhausting but thrilling too when someone said yes. I went on to do lifestyle illustration and enjoyed painting murals on bedroom walls. One of my murals was photographed in Vogue Living which led to lots of commissions. I like to draw people and animals. My style is fresh, colourful and a bit naive.

It took me a year, full time, to do a mammoth job at the new Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. I loved working with so many people and pushing myself to really do my best.

I like my name Jane. My Aunty didn’t like Patsy and she renamed herself Rose Petal when she was a little girl.

I’m not plain Jane, I'm one of a kind.
