I'm currently single with no children and rather enjoying life apart from the ever exhausting ‘online dating’ conundrum!

I work in marketing but study Business & Law part time which couldn’t be any more different. I have been in aviation for about 10 years, which I love and it quite conveniently supports my need to travel and see the world. I am fuelled by new experiences and love to enjoy my life but also truly enjoy giving back – whether that is time, support or expertise and this introduces one of my other big parts of my life – working with charities. I get so much joy and pleasure from this and feel that it really does benefit what can sometimes be a very insular view of the world.

Today I have been up since 5.45am for a work out followed by some frantic packing for a charity trip this weekend. Then off to work where I have so far sat through three hours’ worth of meetings that could have probably been explained in an email. I am an advocate for a more agile corporate working function.

I was named Charlotte until not long after I was born and my mum realised that I had all the character, personality and features of her cousin and best friend – Jane. Swift change around and I was a Jane! I repeatedly wished that I had been called something else at different junctures in my life – sometimes it was hankering after a name like Shannon Doherty from cult classic Beverly Hills 90210 or antipodean sweetheart Kylie Minogue – I should be so lucky!

The best thing about being a Jane is totally smashing through the stereotype of being ‘plain’. I agreed to be part of this project because ... oh my word – why wouldn’t I? It's the only time in my thirty seven years I have been asked to celebrate being a Jane. Life is for meeting people and new experiences so always say YES! I've had a great time and the pics looked oddly cool.

I'm not plain Jane ... I am just plain amazing!
